Scan Assistant is a visual basic application that helps automate the process of naming and moving a scanned image to the server for linking to the patient chart. This is used in combination with Macro Express to make document imaging and linking a breeze. Clicking the link above will launch a short video demonstration of our product in action.

The latest version of Scan Assistant 2008 features user customizable document types. The document types can easily be defined through an .ini file so you can customize your installation at any time!

Scan Assistant Demo Software
We are now offering a demo of Scan Assistant. The above program can be customized for different document types on an as needed basis. The basic operation of the program allows you to specify a source image, type in a patient id, and then select a document type. The Destination Path is automatically created for you and by clicking the Transfer button, the image is saved to the server. The filename and path are dynamically created based on the patient id, document type, date scanned, etc. The Copy Path to Clipboard button copies the path to the clipboard allowing for easy pasting into the PLINK dialog box in Practice Partner. Full documentation can be supplied. We recommend Macro Express to automate many of the functions, such as creating the progress note, titling the note, and inserting the PLINK quick text.

Note: In the demo version, you will need to manually adjust the Destination Path dialog box to reflect the proper path to your image store on your network. The full version is fully customized for your site.

System Requirements:
Microsoft Windows 95 or greater.
Windows VB Runtime files located here.
That's it! It's a very small program that does what needs to be done.

Thanks for visiting the EMR portion of our website. Remember, the goal of an electronic medical record is to get rid of the paper. Get as much electronically as you can and you will be well on your way to eliminating these:

Don't forget about lab interfaces!
