Steve has been in the networking community for over ten years with a strong background in applying technology and informatics in a medical office setting. A Certified Microsoft Systems Engineer, he has worked in the trenches of IT support in a variety of settings. Primary areas of expertise include networking Microsoft and Linux products, network security, enterprise routing, remote access, thin client computing utilizing Citrix and Microsoft Terminal Server, and electronic medical records implementation. He offers extensive experience in systems design and implementation using server technologies, operating systems and background services. Special experience in firewall design and implementation for secure virtual private networking.

He has also been an adjunct instructor at Kaplan University in Cedar Falls Iowa, teaching the Microsoft Systems Engineer courses for over five years. In addition to all of the above, he has been known to dabble in graphic design and web design using the Adobe Creative Suite of products.
