Do you only work with healthcare facilities?
No, while we have expertise in medical office settings and electronic health record implementation, our design philosophies can be applied to a variety of settings.
I see you offer various plans in your brochure. Am I tied to a plan when I sign up?
No, you are not. We are very flexible in terms of allowing you to choose what you want when you want. Since new clients might not know what their needs are, they might choose hourly on demand package or a block hour package until a monthly average can be analyzed. After things settle in, clients can then choose the package of their choice to allow maximum value for the time we spend.
Do you offer services like malware removal and general system maintenance for the home user?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer such services. We design and maintain corporate networks, related infrastructure and information systems for small to medium sized businesses. While we do handle malware prevention, it is generally on a managed corporate level. We just don't have the staff to provide the turnaround a customer would expect.
Do you sell hardware/software?
No, we do not. We have partnered with Iowa Business Machines as a preferred hardware supplier. We will recommend hardware and software packages that will work well with your information system needs. Any purchases will be made by you, the client, from IBM or your vendor of choice.
What if there is an emergency at my client site?
We are available via cell phone at any time. You can also use our contact form to send a message directly to mobile Blackberry devices. Please note that after hours surcharges may be applicable if special arrangements need to be made after normal working hours.
I see you have designed websites. Is this a regular service?
We do design small websites as long as the site is fairly static and it doesn't require much maintenance. Please inquire if you are interested. We cannot guarantee we will take on such a project, but we will be happy to hear what your needs are. Our portfolio can be viewed here.
How do you support your clients in terms of desktops and servers?
We require that a secure VPN connection be set up from our facility to yours so that we can maintain servers and desktops remotely. This saves travel time and ultimately saves YOU time and money. Unless it is hardware related, a majority of problems can be remediated through a VPN remote session.
Do you work with telecommunications or network cabling?
No, we do not. However, we can refer you to trusted service providers in your area. We have had great success with Technicom.
We already have an electronic health records or practice management system. What can you do for us?
We can look at your current system and workflow to make sure you are getting the most out of your system. Any deficiencies will be clearly explained along with possible remediation plans.
Do you service printers?
No, we do not. We defer to the experts at Iowa Business Machines for that service.
I have been to Mauer Eye Center, where your office is located. I noticed some great digital signage on all of the televisions. How was that done?
All of the televisions in our facility have live content pushed to them over network cabling from what is called a Rise Display Engine. This allows us to show live feeds, such as television programming, news, weather, sports scores, etc for all of our visitors. For more information, click here.
